About Us

A well-established Japanese technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Pre-Sales Engineer to join its growing technical team. This role sits at the intersection of sales, consulting, and engineering, supporting customers in identifying, designing, and implementing technology solutions that align with their business objectives. Working closely with both commercial and technical stakeholders, you will help shape solutions spanning networking, cloud technologies, workplace productivity platforms, and cyber security services. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging directly with clients, understanding business challenges, and translating technical requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with sales and technical delivery teams to develop solution strategies that address customer requirements.
- Engage with clients throughout the presales lifecycle, including discovery sessions, requirements gathering, solution design, and proposal presentations.
- Develop technical documentation, solution architectures, statements of work, and cost estimates.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations, licensing recommendations, and implementation planning.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor during customer discussions and workshops.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are both technically and commercially sound.
- Support project transition activities from solution design through to implementation and delivery.




- Maintain accurate documentation and provide updates to management on project and presales activities.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically capable and customer-focused professional who can bridge the gap between business requirements and practical technology solutions. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a consultative mindset, and hands-on experience working with customers in a presales or solution-oriented capacity.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Presales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Solutions Architect.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and related technologies.

• Networking expertise equivalent to CCNA level or above.

• Proven experience in solution design, technical consulting, and customer presentations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and presentation abilities.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic setting.

• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to customer success.

Language Requirements

• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders in both languages.

• Experience preparing professional business and technical documentation in Japanese and English.

Eligibility

• Applicants must hold either Australian Permanent Residency (PR) or Australian Citizenship.
