ROLE – Mechanical Engineer (Senior to Lead level)

SALARY - $140,000 - $210,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Brisbane, QLD

My client is an established engineering consultancy delivering complex projects across resources and industrial sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer from senior to lead level to join their team in Brisbane on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

- 5-8+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering position, working on relevant process plant projects
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience across processing operations including crushing, milling, materials handling and wet processing
- Previous experience with material handling equipment including conveyors, crushers, chutes, bins and slurry pumping systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, calculations and design requirements
- Experience designing and delivering mineral processing plants through the full project lifecycle
- Proficient with 3D modelling and engineering design software
- Able to lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams




- Solid communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams

The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

- Leading mechanical designs and engineering projects from concept through to delivery
- Leading and mentoring mechanical engineering teams
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Electrical and Structural Engineering
- Producing 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Completing engineering calculations and technical assessments
- Reviewing and approving models, drawings and engineering calculations
- Supporting procurement activities, including identifying and engaging suitable vendors
- Reviewing supplier proposals and technical documentation
- Liaising directly with clients and other project stakeholders
- Providing engineering support throughout construction and installation
- Contributing to the successful delivery of major process plant projects
