Talenza have been engaged by a financial services organisation to find a Network Engineer for an infrastructure and security uplift project. The successful candidate will be experienced managing network infrastructure, focusing on availability, performance, capacity, configuration and security in a highly regulated environment.

Key Requirements

- Extensive experience as a Network Engineer within enterprise environments, supporting LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, DNS, DHCP and cloud connectivity.

- Strong experience supporting hybrid network environments, spanning on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms, with experience configuring routing tables and virtual networks in Azure, AWS or GCP.

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and BGP, with proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and application performance issues.

- Demonstrated experience with network security uplift, including network segmentation, firewalls, IPS, security appliances, VPNs and VMware NSX.

- Experience with F5 and Azure load balancing,



alongside broader network and cloud connectivity services.

- Experience implementing network monitoring, analysis and reporting, including identifying and responding to network events and performance issues, with exposure to Splunk or similar SIEM platforms.

- Experience with Network-as-Code and API-driven infrastructure, including automation of network configuration, deployment and operational processes.

- Solid understanding of network security protocols and certificates, including TLS, mutual TLS and troubleshooting public and internally issued certificates.

- Experience working within ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change Management processes, including ServiceNow, with strong documentation, configuration management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
