We are seeking a JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON to join our expanding Drafting team. The role is part of a supportive, collaborative workplace where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering quality outcomes for our clients both internally and externally.
Our Drafting team is responsible for the production of detailed and professional working drawings, as well as undertaking Prestart variations, and all other related drafting work. The Drafting team is also involved in liaising with supervisors, administration staff and local authorities.
The key responsibilities are:
- Prestart/General variations and Sitings
- Production of working drawings using ArchiCAD
- Help ensure plans align with the NCC, R-Codes and relevant Australian Standards
- Liaise with external engineers and certifiers to ensure compliance, including shires and developers.
- Continue to develop your drafting skills and industry knowledge
The successful applicant should possess the following:
- Ability to work on a full-time basis (Monday – Friday)
- A qualification of Certificate IV in Residential Building Drafting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with an ability to meet strict project deadlines.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD software is essential.
- Knowledge of the Perth construction industry and building technique is highly regarded but not essential, as on-the-job training will be provided.
- A positive attitude, strong work-ethic and the ability to self-motivate.
