About the role

Safety Australia Group is seeking a hands-on OHS Advisor to join a major construction project in Geelong, Victoria. Working closely with site management, supervisors, subcontractors and workers, you'll play a key role in maintaining safety standards, managing risks and promoting a positive safety culture.

- Location: Geelong VIC

- Contract: October 2026 – February 2027

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

- Work arrangement: Full-time, on-site

- Payrate: $70 per hour plus superannuation

Key responsibilities

- Conducting regular site inspections and identifying hazards.

- Delivering site inductions and safety briefings.

- Building strong relationships with workers, supervisors and subcontractors.

- Responding to incidents and injuries and assisting with investigations.

- Monitoring compliance with SWMS, site procedures and WHS requirements.

- Providing practical safety advice to site personnel.

- Participating in monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings.





- Maintaining accurate inspection, incident and investigation records using an iPad and basic computer systems.

- Supporting initiatives that strengthen safety awareness and accountability.

About you

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a WHS/Health & Safety role.

- Construction industry experience, preferably on active project sites.

- A sound understanding of practical site safety requirements.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Confidence conducting inspections and addressing unsafe practices.

- Positive organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Basic computer skills and confidence using an iPad.

- A Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent is preferred.

- First Aid and Emergency Experience Management qualifications will be advantageous but are not essential.
