One Key Resources in conjunction with Ulan Surface Operations are recruiting motivated and committed applicants for Trainee CHPP Technicians; to commence in early 2026 upon completion of this 2-year Traineeship, the successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Surface Extraction.

What we are looking for: This is a residential role; candidates must live in the Mid-Western Regional Council LGA (80kms from site) to be considered. Proof of address will be required prior to progression of application.
This is an entry level mining position; no experience is required to apply. The successful candidates will show commitment to the completion of their Traineeship.
You MUST be able to attend an in-person Assessment Centre Day on Tuesday, 3rd of November 2026 in Mudgee.
Candidates who have a background using machinery in an agricultural or civil capacity are encouraged to apply.

Duties of the role include, but not limited to:

- Participate in training in all areas of wash plant machinery use
- Following production schedules
- Ensure safe production and quality
- Monitor operational plant performance
- Undertake training to confidently operate stockpile dozers and train loading
- Maintain housekeeping (manual labour intensive) to a high standard
- Maintain clean and safe working setting
- Undertake studies to complete Certificate III Surface Extraction

To be considered for this position, you will:

- Hold a manual P1 or higher licence
- Must be able to confidently drive a manual vehicle
- Be 18 years or older - all ages encouraged to apply!
- Be able to work autonomously within a team environment
- Willing to complete an Order 43 Medical Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Be able to attend the Assessment Centre Day on Tuesday, 03 November 2026
- Be able to supply at least 2 Supervisor references
- Be able to supply proof of residential address within 80kms of site
- Experience operating machinery in a farming or civil capacity desirable but not essential
- Be safety focused
