Aircraft Engineering Solutions are seeking experienced Avionic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for a 4-6 month project working at RAAF Base Edinburgh on the P-8A Poseidon Aircraft.

This is an excellent chance for skilled talent to bring your expertise to a highly regarded Defence program and work alongside an experienced maintenance team on the P8 Poseidon Program.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

About the role:

- Conduct on and off aircraft maintenance, advanced systems trouble shooting, electrical/avionic rectifications, testing and modifications.

- Involvement in the installation/maintenance, and repair of avionics, including component replacement, communication, navigation, and flight control systems.

- Conduct routine inspections and tests on avionics systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and ensure Quality Assurance procedures.

- Trouble shoot avionics and electrical systems to isolate mechanical, electrical, or avionics faults and repair faulty components.

- Contribute to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion and to develop solutions for complex avionics problems.

- Be involved in all aspects of removal, installation and repair of all components and associated with modifications and repair.

- Strong knowledge of avionics systems, including but not limited to GPS, radar, autopilot, and communication systems.

About You:

- Certificate IV in Aeroskills -Avionics or CASA / DASA licence.

- Australian Citizen.

- NV1 Security Clearance.

- High-level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and it's applicability in the relevant environment.

- Familiar with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR)

- Highly skilled, experienced,



and versatile in avionic discipline.

- Track record of excellence in previous roles, military aircraft is desirable.

- Confident individual capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.

- Attention to detail and the ability to read manuals and follow instructions.

- Creative thinker with the ability to solve problems effectively.

- Competent computer skills and a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
