An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Personal Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded Family Law team based in Melbourne's CBD.
Supporting a Partner and a team of five junior lawyers, you'll become an integral member of a fast-paced, collaborative and supportive practice. Working alongside an experienced paralegal, you'll enjoy a varied role with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to further develop your legal support career.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced career Legal PA or Legal Secretary who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Ideally 4+ years' experience in a legal administration or Legal PA role (applications from candidates with 2+ years' experience will also be considered)
- Previous Family Law experience is highly regarded, although experience in similar practice areas such as Criminal Law or Litigation will also be considered
- Experience using LEAP is desirable but not essential
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and client service skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information

The opportunity
Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing current client enquiries and telephone calls
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files
- Diary and calendar management
- Preparing, formatting and amending legal correspondence and documents
- Managing workflow across multiple matters
- Liaising with clients, barristers, Courts and external agencies




- Assisting with the preparation of financial disclosure and court documentation
- Preparing electronic court briefs (eBriefs)
- Monthly billing and invoicing
- General legal administration and team support
