Senior Tekla Drafter – Reinforcement Detailing & Bar Scheduling Sydney | Major Building Projects | Flexible Working

I’m working with a highly regarded Australian engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Tekla Drafter to lead reinforcement detailing across a strong pipeline of major building projects.

This role suits someone who enjoys the technical detail as much as the practical side of construction. You’ll work on complex reinforced concrete structures across high-rise residential, commercial, healthcare, education, data centre and industrial projects, collaborating closely with engineers, builders, suppliers and site teams.

The role You’ll take ownership of reinforcement detailing packages from initial documentation through to construction. Your work will include:

- Developing 3D reinforcement models in Tekla Structures
- Producing shop and placing drawings, bar bending schedules and material take-offs
- Detailing elements such as foundations, basements, transfer slabs, columns, core walls, beams and precast components
- Resolving reinforcement congestion, coordination and buildability issues
- Checking models, drawings and schedules for accuracy and compliance




- Guiding junior and intermediate drafters and contributing to team quality standards

About you You’ll bring around 10 years or more of reinforcement detailing and bar scheduling experience, including substantial work on large reinforced concrete buildings.

Advanced Tekla Structures skills and a sound understanding of Australian standards and construction methods are essential.

You’ll also be comfortable managing your own packages, interpreting complex structural documentation and working directly with the wider project team. Revit, Navisworks and broader BIM coordination experience would be welcome.
