The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with a commitment to education and clinical excellence? We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dynamic Hawkesbury Emergency Department team. The Clinical Nurse Educator supports the development of our nursing workforce and promote best practice in emergency care.

As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will work collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager, senior nursing staff and multidisciplinary team to identify, develop, implement and evaluate educational programs that enhance clinical practice within the Emergency Department. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide safe,



compassionate and person-centred care in a quick-paced and evolving clinical environment.

The successful applicant will bring extensive emergency/critical care nursing experience, strong clinical expertise and a genuine passion for teaching and developing others. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to engage, inspire and support staff at all stages of their career while championing best practice, quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
2. Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications in critical care, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
3. Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate high quality clinical education, including informal teaching, in‑service programs and competency assessments,



to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing workforce.
4. Proven commitment to fostering professional growth for self and others through purposeful engagement in education, mentorship and capability building initiatives, that strengthen workforce competence.
5. Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and the maintenance of a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
6. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, feedback and conflict resolution.
7. Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and engage staff in the clinical setting and work professionally in a multidisciplinary team.
8. Evidence of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems.
