Part-Time or Casual Accountant

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Part-Time Accountant or Casual Accountant who is passionate about joining a firm with a great culture and who cares about supporting clients.

This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, thinking strategically about their businesses, and delivering real value through advisory and CFO-style services, without the burnout of full-time public practice.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for a portfolio of privately owned, predominately female-led businesses

- Building genuine relationships with clients, understanding their business and goals

- Reviewing and improving bookkeeping and finance systems and processes

- Working with clients to deliver value-driven advisory and CFO services

- Translating financial information into clear, practical guidance clients can actually use

- Managing client relationships, workflows and deadlines with professionalism and care

- Working collaboratively with the Ex Animo team to ensure the smooth flow of client work. Think working as a team, rather than it all being on you.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Are CA qualified or CPA Qualified (or working towards)



with solid technical accounting and tax knowledge

- Have experience working with privately owned groups and small to medium businesses

- Are confident across business tax and compliance, and comfortable advising beyond the numbers

- Enjoy helping clients improve decision-making through CFO and advisory-style services

- Are proactive, organised and comfortable working independently

- Value strong client relationships and pride yourself on delivering excellent work

- Are seeking a versatile, part-time or casual role where you enjoy coming into the office
