About the role

Lead the Perth Wildcats' current community and social impact programs and help shape their future direction. Work with club leaders and specialist advisers to turn the proposed Foundation's strategy, once approved, into practical programs, partnerships, systems and measures. Maintain safe, inclusive and reliable delivery while supporting the Foundation's establishment and readiness to operate.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and oversee the annual delivery calendar, budgets and logistics for school and holiday clinics, youth outreach, the Inspire Program, inclusion activities, community events and relevant game day activations.

- Coordinate players, coaches, schools and community partners; clarify commitments and approvals, and deliver activities safely and on time.

- Manage community donations, appearances and partner requests using consistent criteria, records and service standards.

- Review current activities against Believe & Belong's four impact areas and evidence of community need; recommend priorities for future programs and inclusive participation.

- Build effective relationships with schools, community organisations, basketball bodies, sponsors and prospective funding partners, working with commercial and marketing teams.

- Work with leadership and the external strategy adviser to turn the Foundation Development Strategy into a staged implementation plan with owners, milestones, costs and decisions for approval.

- Support the setup of governance and operating arrangements, program selection criteria, budgets, policies, partnership and donation processes, records and reporting, with finance, legal and other advisers as required.

- Track participation, access, outcomes,



partner experience and expenditure; report progress, risks and decisions needed to leadership and prepare funder reports where relevant.

- Apply child safety, safeguarding, privacy and risk requirements across activities and partners; escalate concerns promptly and seek approval before making external funding or government commitments.

About you

- Demonstrated operational experience in a foundation, charity or other not for profit, including governance support, donor or funding processes and financial and impact reporting.

- Community program management and partnership delivery experience.

- Experience establishing a current foundation including DGR Endorsement is highly regarded.

- Working knowledge of Australian charity and not for profit operations; program budgets, records, reporting, funding applications and impact measurement.

- Ability to implement practical processes with appropriate finance, legal and governance advice.

- Strong planning, judgement, communication and relationship skills.

- Collaborative across teams, comfortable with concurrent deadlines, discreet with sensitive information and committed to child safety and inclusion.

- Ability to obtain and maintain any checks required for work with children is essential.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, not for profit management, business or a related field is desirable.
