Umbrella Multicultural Community Care Services Inc. provides services to seniors to assist them to remain living independently in their homes. Our service focus on the individual needs of the culturally and linguistically diverse and LGBTIQ+ communities.

An opportunity has become available to join our unique and growing organisation with an immediate start. We are looking for a Team Leader Scheduling to support and assist the Home Support Services based at our Ascot office.

This is a Full-Time 12-month Fixed Term position working 5 days per week Monday to Friday. Office hours are from 9am to 5.00pm.

Salary: SCHADS Level 5 with an hourly rate $105,577 - $110,359 (depending on experience) plus super.

Responsibilities include:

The Team Leader - Scheduling is responsible for leading scheduling operations to ensure the efficient delivery of quality home support services. This role oversees workforce coordination, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practice across service delivery. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you will help drive positive outcomes for clients, staff, and the organisation.

What you’ll do

- Identify inefficiencies to reduce unnecessary costs.
- Provide leadership to Scheduling Team, Team Leader Support Services, Senior Support Workers and Support Workers and to communicate effectively with all team members.
- Maintain a positive and productive team setting.
- Regular review of rosters to ensure key metrics are achieved.
- Ensure full knowledge of scheduling systems to be able to assist when team members on planned or unplanned leave.
- Optimise allocated roster to match client needs with available employees in a cost-effective manner.
- Leave planning to ensure uninterrupted service delivery with the ability to multitask, manage competing demands and problem solve.




- Sound knowledge of associated SCHADS award, with respect to how it applies to allocation of employees.
- Oversee both long and short-term scheduling.
- Act as Evacuation Warden for the Ascot office (training provided)
- Support and mentor both Schedulers and Senior Support Workers.
- Strategic workforce planning, identifying gaps in the workforce and developing a methodical approach to people planning.
- Workforce forecasting: understanding of current trends and to ensure an anticipated level of Support Workers to meet client demand, and the skills and qualifications needed.

What you will bring:

- Diploma – Aged Care, with experience in community or aged care sector.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Strong analytic and decision-making skills with effective leadership with the ability to drive performance of teams and meet organisational priorities.
- Experience in rostering/scheduling practise at a senior leader level within a fast-paced, geographically dispersed setting.
- Demonstrated capacity to understand and respond to business performance information as it relates to workforce management.
- Establish positive and effective internal working relationships with all team members and clients, utilising exceptional interpersonal and communications skills – written and verbal.
- Demonstrated time management skills to organise, prioritise tasks, effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines with a focus on client and employee satisfaction.




- Experience in using client management/scheduling software, sound knowledge MS Word, excel or equivalent software packages.
- Knowledge of the aged care regulatory environment

Desirable

1. Knowledge of diversity, access and equity issues for CaLD and LGBTI seniors.
2. Understanding of diverse cultures and language barriers.
3. Experience using rostering system Sandwai advantageous
