About the role

We are looking for a Sous Chef to come into the space and work closely with the head chef to run dinners at Marla and have as much creative control as they are interested in.

Marla Singer operates Brunch six days a week, and opens for dinners three nights a week. We make all our own Breads, Pastries, Ferments, Cakes, as well as whole animal butchery and fish. Marla's dinner menu changes weekly, using exclusively local and in season produce grown by our amazing suppliers.

The successful applicant will be naturally interested in food, especially vegetables and fermentation.

We are happy to adapt the role to suit the applicant, we are mainly interested in finding someone passionate about hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Focussing mainly on service and preparation

- Handling of stock and quality control

- Assisting with the weekly changing dinner menu
