BRAUD Australia is the Australian importer and distributor of New Holland BRAUD Grape and Olive Harvesters, supporting customers and dealers across Australia. BRAUD harvesters are highly specialised, French-manufactured machines incorporating advanced mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.

We are looking for a Specialised Diesel Mechanic with a strong technical mindset to join our team in Field Service & Technical Support, principally based at our Gepps Cross branch, with opportunities to support our Naracoorte and Summertown branches as required.

This is not your typical mechanic role.

The role

This is a hands-on and highly technical position involving:

- Servicing, maintaining, repairing and completing full machine overhauls on highly specialised harvesting equipment

- Diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults

- Using computer-based diagnostic tools and technical information to identify and resolve faults

- Providing technical support and advice to customers and our dealer network Australia-wide

- Investigating and resolving technical issues and preparing technical reports with manufacturers, dealers and customers

- Assisting with machine commissioning, field setup and technical support

- Building solid relationships with customers and becoming a trusted technical resource

- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and attention to detail

- Seasonal travel throughout regional SA and weekend/out-of-hours work during grape harvest

You'll be exposed to advanced agricultural technology, complex fault finding and a unique range of machinery, while working directly with customers, dealers and manufacturers.

We provide ongoing manufacturer training and development, with opportunities to expand your skills across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems or the opportunity to assiting in this training program.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

- A Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with experience in agricultural, construction or similar equipment

- Technically minded and enjoys fault finding and problem solving

- Confident working with mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems

- Comfortable using computer-based diagnostic equipment

- Customer-focused and able to communicate technical information clearly

- Self-motivated, reliable and willing to continue learning

Light Vehicle Mechanics and 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices with strong technical ability will also be considered.

A current SA driver's licence is required. Forklift and MR licences are advantageous but not essential.
