About the role
We’re looking for an experienced retail leader to join the management team and support the Store Manager in driving the performance of a busy department. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team and taking ownership of their department. You’ll balance people leadership with the practical side of retail, including stock management, visual presentation, promotional activity and commercial performance.

You’ll be expected to set the standard for your team, keep pace in a high-volume environment and look for opportunities to improve both customer experience and profitability.

What you will do

- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store and department
- Lead, coach and motivate your team to deliver strong customer service and commercial results
- Monitor sales performance and work towards department KPIs
- Take ownership of stock flow, recovery and inventory standards
- Manage high volumes of stock while maintaining an organised and productive department
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained




- Support the planning and execution of catalogue campaigns and promotional activity
- Implement initiatives that improve stock integrity and department profitability
- Lead by example and remain actively involved on the shop floor
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and customer experience
- Support a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture

What you will bring

- Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Experience with visual merchandising and maintaining retail presentation standards
- Confidence working with high volumes of stock and a physically active retail environment
- A strong sense of ownership and commercial accountability
- The ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Resilience and a practical approach to problem-solving
- A willingness to think creatively and find better ways of doing things
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using retail systems and technology
- First Aid certification, or willingness to complete training provided by the business
