Production Supervisor – SOMERSBY Laundry

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our team located at Somersby (Central Coast). This supervisory role oversees the Production Team and is focused on ensuring that production is maximised to meet customer demands.

Our fantastic teams work behind the scenes to provide services that support essential healthcare and aged care facilities as well as the Industrial, Food, Accommodation and Retail sectors. We are focused on putting safety first and setting up our team members for success with on-the-job training and access to formal qualifications in laundry operations.

The Role:

- Ensure all new staff receive the appropriate induction which includes introduction to Health and Safety at the plant, the Quality Management System in the Plant and general employee orientation information,
- Supervise and coordinate the Production areas and the above Sections of the Laundry operation.
- Ensure operating procedures are followed and where necessary recommend changes.




- To liaise and assist with other sections of the laundry service to ensure customer needs are met.
- Ensure appropriate rostering of employees that meets agreed staffing levels.
- Achieve agreed productivity outcomes.
- Encourage the culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
- Understand and follow Policies and Quality Management System operating procedures.
- Other projects as directed by the Production Manager.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Exercise excellent customer service techniques such as effective communications and problem solving.
- Strong time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and set targets.
- Pays high attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team to problem solve
- Previous people management and customer service experience preferred
- Experienced at Microsoft office suite and adaptable in other software systems
