NX Blue are currently recruiting for experienced, proactive, safety conscious Testing and Commissioning Electricians for a Client working on the Goulburn River Solar Farm near Merriwa NSW. This will be a DIDO role and fully accommodated. Travel via company supplied car or bus to and from site from Both Sydney central and Newcastle central. Site vehicle transfer from Newcastle airport as well. If you are willing to pay your own flight connections from other areas you are welcome to apply. Transport will be from Newcastle or Sydney. You are also able to drive your own vehicle to site if you wish.

THESE ARE DIDO ROLES FROM NEWCASTLE/SYDNEY AND SURROUNDS

Roster: 14:7 roster / DIDO, 10.5 hour days initially
Location: Meriwa NSW
Length: 12-18 Months of work with likely extensions
Start – Immediate start as well as early early October Start.

Key Responsibilities:

- Combiner box terminations
- Termination of MC4 Strings
- Module connections
- BESSS terminations and conduit installations
- Conduct commissioning, functional testing, and energisation of HV electrical systems, such as control systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection relays
- Follow Lock out Tag out Procedures
- Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and test procedures
- Test insulation resistance, continuity, polarity.
- Inspect and troubleshoot LV systems, electrical faults and non-conformances
- Calibrate, verify and validate instrumentation
- Ensure all work complies with AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067,



and other applicable standards
- Maintain accurate test records and commissioning documentation
- Liaise with engineers, package managers, and operations personnel to coordinate commissioning activities
- Adhere to all site safety, environmental, and quality procedures

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- NSW Electrical Licence or equivalent
- HV Switching Operator certification - Preferred but not essential
- Current CPR/LVR
- LOTO - Lock out Tag out Training SOA - Preferred but not essential
- Construction White Card
- Valid Drivers license
- Demonstrated experience in high-voltage installation and commissioning
- Strong understanding of protection and control systems
- High level of commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a commissioning team

Experience:

- Preferable to have previous Solar experience
- Minimum 2+ year’s experience in mining, renewable energy, or high-voltage infrastructure, including AC and DC chargers
- Proven experience preparing and executing High Voltage switching including preparation of switching programs
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation and pre-commissioning processes
- Understanding of isolation and permitting systems
