Glebe Hill Dental is a modern, friendly dental practice in Howrah. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, patient-focused dental care in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis to provide short-term staff leave cover.

The position will commence in early October 2026 and will initially provide a minimum of four weeks of full-time hours, while remaining under a casual employment arrangement. There may also be the opportunity for additional casual shifts beyond this period depending on practice needs and availability.

This role would suit an experienced Dental Assistant who can confidently step into a busy clinical setting with minimal training.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our dentists and the wider team to help provide efficient, comfortable and high-quality care to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Chairside assisting across general dental procedures

- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment

- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining instruments in accordance with infection control requirements

- Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment

- Assisting with dental radiographs where appropriately trained

- Updating patient records and clinical charts

- Supporting patient comfort throughout appointments

- Assisting with stock management and general practice duties

- Providing reception and administrative support when required

About You





We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous dental assisting experience – essential

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred, but not essential

- Sound knowledge of dental procedures, terminology and infection control

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- Confidence working in a busy clinical environment

- A friendly and professional approach to patient care

- Good computer skills and the ability to learn practice software quickly

- Availability to work full-time hours for at least four weeks from early October

Experience with Dental4Windows and digital dentistry workflows would be advantageous but is not essential.
