- Fixed term contract up to 30 June 2030

About this position:

The City is seeking an experienced sustainability professional to implement, evaluate and promote Switch Your Thinking’s corporate and community sustainability programs, supporting greenhouse gas emissions reduction and climate action initiatives across the Cities of Gosnells and Armadale and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

As the Switch Your Thinking Program Officer, you will lead sustainability projects from planning through to delivery, evaluation and reporting, while contributing to the ongoing development of sustainability initiatives across participating local governments.

The position works closely with local government partners, community stakeholders and funding bodies, requiring a collaborative approach and demonstrated experience delivering and coordinating projects.

What we are looking for:





To be successful, you must have:

- A comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles and practices

- Proven ability to build relationships with corporate, community and stakeholder groups

- Experience delivering sustainability projects and initiatives

- Experience facilitating presentations, workshops or community engagement activities

- Experience securing and managing grants, funding opportunities or partnerships

- Experience developing communications, marketing or engagement content across digital and community channels

Essential requirements:

- Current driver’s licence

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Science or equivalent

- Working with Children Check

- National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition
