About the Opportunity

The ASC Security Traineeship is a two-year fixed-term program that combines practical on-the-job training with formal study towards a Certificate 4 in Cyber Security.

Working alongside experienced security professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience across personnel, physical and information security, while supporting day-to-day security and compliance activities.

By the end of the program, you'll have developed the skills, knowledge and nationally recognised qualification needed to start a career in security.

Your responsibilities

- Provide administrative support across a range of security activities and processes.
- Maintain security records and databases, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with security enquiries and escalate complex matters to experienced team members.
- Contribute to the identification, reporting and management of security risks and incidents.
- Gain practical experience and develop an understanding of Defence security requirements,



policies and procedures.

About you

- Desire and interest to grow a career in security.
- Commitment to obtain Certificate 4 in Cyber Security while receiving on the job training.
- Sound verbal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Good organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Eligibility

- Not currently undertaking or completed, 22603VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security
- Not in a current Contract of Training

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
