Our client is a large integrated supplier of building, construction and mining materials who have recently expanded into WA. With a history spanning more than 40 years, they are deeply engaged in the communities in which they operate and have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and customer service.

Due to continued growth, they are now opening a new operation in Geraldton, WA, creating an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join the team from the beginning and play an significant role in establishing the new site.

The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory position where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Geraldton site, while also working alongside and supervising a General Hand / Warehouse Operator.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Geraldton site
- Working hands-on alongside the General Hand / Warehouse person
- Supervising and coordinating site activities
- Coordinating deliveries and ensuring products are received and dispatched efficiently
- Organising the drop-off of the vac trailer to the port for ship unloading
- Loading and unloading as required
- Ensuring all site activities are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Communicating with drivers, customers and internal teams
- Helping establish efficient processes as the new Geraldton operation gets up and running

As this is a new operation, you may initially be required to travel to Adelaide for approximately one week to complete training before commencing at the Geraldton site.

About You




We are looking for someone who is hands-on, practical and confident taking ownership of a site.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in a supervisory, leading hand or site-based role
- Experience within the cement, concrete, construction, mining, logistics or similar industrial environment
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Forklift licence - ideally required (not essential)
- Experience coordinating deliveries and working with trucks
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work autonomously and make decisions on site
- A willingness to get hands-on and work alongside your team

This role would suit someone who enjoys being out on site rather than behind a desk, is comfortable dealing with drivers and deliveries, and takes pride in keeping an operation running smoothly.

What's on Offer?

- Salary circa $100,000-$120,000 + super (depending on experience)
- Company vehicle + fuel card
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am - 3:00pm approx.
- Brand-new operation based in Geraldton, WA
- Initial training in Adelaide for approximately one week may be required
