About the role:

You will be responsible for developing detailed network designs, engineering documentation, and technical artefacts that enable seamless delivery across a range of transport platforms. You will help shape the future of our fibre, microwave radio, DWDM, SDH, and Ethernet networks, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and high performance.

As a Network Design Engineer, you will:

- Design network elements, links, and services across Core and Access Transport Platforms.
- Produce detailed design packages including drawings, scopes of work, bills of materials, and completion records.
- Ensure design integrity from order acknowledgement through to customer acceptance.
- Support diverse site environments including mobile base stations, transmission hubs, data centres, and exchange facilities.
- Maintain strong compliance with engineering standards, WHS requirements, and customer guidelines.
- Contribute to reporting, forward planning, milestones,



and alignment across customer systems.
- Mentor, train, and support team members while contributing to the growth of Ventia Solutions.

What we’re looking for:

- Tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Experience designing telecommunications networks across Enterprise, Core, Access or Mobile environments
- Robust understanding of IP/MPLS networks, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and IPv4/IPv6
- Experience using telecommunications design and provisioning systems such as Helix, Spatial Web, Netconfig or similar platforms
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, network designs and engineering drawings
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent certifications are highly regarded
