King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. Undergoing significant expansion, KOTH is nearing completion of a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant (previously 5.2Mtpa), providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day and weekly execution of maintenance, servicing, and repair activities for mobile plant and equipment. The role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards to maximise equipment availability and reliability, in alignment with operational priorities and maintenance strategies.

This position will be offered on an 8:6; 7:7 roster FIFO from Perth

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

- Oversee all preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for all mobile fleet and Workshop infrastructure.
- Ensure maintenance work meets OEM specifications, site procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate field service work and breakdown response to minimise equipment downtime.




- Liaise with the Maintenance Planner to ensure work is scheduled effectively with resources, tooling, and parts available.
- Assist in developing and improving maintenance strategies and work procedures.
- Provide feedback to planners on job durations, labour requirements, and improvement opportunities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team inclusive of contractors in a cost effective and efficient manner, ensuring awareness of performance targets, and have access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned with Company targets.
- Ensure that the activities of maintenance personnel are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets by conducting regular inspections and audits specifically checking compliance of established standards and procedures in relation to safety & production issues.
- Correct and/or report safety and environmental hazards when identified to mitigate risk and reduce the occurrence of incidents and/or injury by investigating and reporting on ground control issues.
- Set clear job and behavioral performance expectations and provide informal feedback to direct reports each working shift.
- Ensure minimal disruption to production through the ready access to critical parts & equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining good working relationships with external companies and having contingency plans in place to source these at short notice if required.
- Ensure organisational capability and a quality orientation by the utilisation of relevant reports using Pronto or similar to monitor reliability, availability and cost effectiveness of all assets under control.




- Assist with the building of the Maintenance operational and Sustaining Capital Budgets for the Mobile Plant
- Accountable for the execution of the scheduled compliance and operating to achieve KPI’s

About You

- Previous experience in a Supervisor role or higher within an open-pit mining environment, supported by a trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or an equivalent discipline, and strong technical expertise in mobile equipment maintenance practices.
- Strong leadership capability with a proven ability to engage, motivate, and empower large teams, coupled with experience in performance management and a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational objectives.
- Experience working with Hitachi and Caterpillar (CAT) mobile mining equipment, including OEM maintenance standards, troubleshooting, and best-practice asset management processes.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the capability to confidently engage, influence, and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, and Work Health and Safety (Mines) regulations 2022.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, INX, Pronto, Power Bi and integrated management systems.
- WHS qualification for the Statutory Supervisor Qualification (Schedule 26).
- Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class).
