Role: Business Intelligence Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Data Architecture & Engineering team and help shape the way data and insights are delivered across Goodstart.

Working across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, you'll build semantic models, reports and dashboards that transform curated data into meaningful, decision-ready insights.

It's an exciting time to join us as we continue transitioning to our modern Microsoft Fabric-based data platform. You'll play an important role in that journey while also supporting our existing SAP BI and SQL Server environments as we progressively migrate and retire legacy solutions.

Your Impact:

In this role, you'll:

- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards that turn complex data into accessible insights.
- Help shape our modern BI environment, supporting the transition to Microsoft Fabric while maintaining critical legacy BI solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and translate them into effective, user-friendly solutions.
- Champion self-service analytics, helping our people confidently use data to make informed decisions.
- Contribute to quality BI solutions that are robust, maintainable, well documented and aligned to our data architecture and governance standards.

You'll bring to the table:

You'll be an experienced BI professional who enjoys getting into the technical detail but can also step back and understand the people and business needs behind the data.

You'll bring:

- Around 5+ years' experience in BI development, consulting or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing Power BI semantic models and visualisations.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, along with a strong understanding of SQL and DAX.
- Knowledge of data platforms, BI platforms, semantic modelling, data architecture, governance, reporting and analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into language that makes sense to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working within RAD and Agile methodologies.
- A genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop as modern data platforms and technologies evolve.
- Experience with SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services or other legacy SAP BI toolsets will be highly regarded,



as will a relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Studies or a related discipline.

- Current QLD Working with Children Check

- Willing to obtain a Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform
