Base pay range

- A$105,570.00/yr - A$115,337.00/yr to be pro rata for 28 hours per week

About you

The Early Years Health Coordinator for Ipswich will provide leadership and strategic oversight of the operations and management of the Community Early Years Health program.

The role will include

- Implementation of a new integrated early years health program across five school-based community hubs in Ipswich
- Supporting the growth of the program and affiliated projects to meet the needs of under-served communities across the Ipswich region
- Conducting action-based research including consultation with families and mapping of existing services to identify health access gaps and targeted health response
- Management of strategic cross-sector partnerships including health, education and community services
- Working collaboratively with funding partner to embed Early Years Childhood Capability Framework into practice
- Delivering targeted Immunisation Education through the school-based hubs

The program will have a strong focus on equity, child health and wellbeing.

- The outcomes will involve a place-based response developed in partnership with the community, and health system
- Improved access to allied health through community hubs
- Increased engagement of multicultural families in primary care
- Earlier identification and support to address developmental, health and wellbeing needs
- Reduced fragmentation through integrated delivery
- More effective culturally-responsive commissioning approaches

Essential Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy, psychology or speech pathology as an advantage.

- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (APHRA, and/or certification with the relevant professional regulatory/oversight body: the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia,



the Psychology Board of Australia, or Speech Pathology Australia, as applicable.
- Demonstrated understanding of the local needs and experiences of migrant and refugee communities, including humanitarian entrants, with a strong focus on the needs of parents/caregivers and children aged 0–5 years.
- Strong knowledge and application of community development principles and place-based integrated care.
- Proven ability to lead, support, and develop teams delivering community-based programs that respond to the needs of vulnerable families and promote community connection and participation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborative relationships with community groups, service providers, and government stakeholders to enhance program outcomes and community impact.
- Sound understanding of governance and program accountability, including experience delivering against funding agreements, meeting reporting requirements, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement across local and national initiatives.
- Ability to identify and appropriately manage risks and conflicts of interest within program delivery and partnerships.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
