Job Description

As Payroll Consulting Principal Lead, you will deliver complex ELMO Payroll implementations, integrations and payroll solutions while supporting the capability and performance of the wider Payroll team.

You’ll combine hands-on consulting with people leadership and strategic delivery. You’ll support direct reports, mentor Implementation Consultants, guide complex customer and technical queries, and lead initiatives that improve automation, digitalisation and AI across Services.

What you’ll do

- Design and configure ELMO Payroll solutions to meet customer needs and implementation standards.
- Lead complex implementations, integrations, migrations, parallel pay activities and go-live readiness.
- Act as an escalation point for payroll configuration, calculations, integrations, data and customer issues.
- Coach direct reports and mentor consultants across payroll processes, integrations, backend functions and new features.




- Lead strategic Services projects and contribute to process, automation and AI improvements.
- Build trusted relationships with strategic customers and support strong adoption of ELMO Payroll.
- Work with Product and Development on testing, product feedback and enhancements.
- Maintain high-quality implementation records, documentation and reusable knowledge resources.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

- Strong knowledge of payroll operations, implementation and payroll technology.
- 5+ years’ experience implementing payroll or related technology solutions for customers.
- Experience with complex implementations, integrations, migrations or parallel pay activities.
- Strong consulting, communication, problem-solving and customer relationship skills.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting the development of team members.
- A solutions-oriented approach, strong systems mindset and ability to work autonomously.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, Business Systems, Accounting or IT is desirable.
