This is an opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a growing legal team and take responsibility for a diverse range of matters across Family Law and Criminal Law.
The role would suit a Solicitor with approximately 4 5 years of Family Law experience who is confident managing matters, communicating with clients and working effectively in a busy practice environment.
Criminal Law experience will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
You will work as part of a collaborative team while managing competing priorities and maintaining a high standard of client service, legal work and file management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a range of Family Law matters with appropriate levels of independence.
- Assist with Criminal Law matters where required.
- Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients.
- Prepare legal correspondence, documentation and court-related materials.
- Maintain accurate and well-organised client files and matter records.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage competing deadlines and priorities in a busy office environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all aspects of legal work.
- Use legal practice management systems to support efficient matter administration.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 5+ years of Family Law experience.
- Criminal Law experience, although this is preferred rather than essential.
- A current NSW Practising Certificate.
- Strong attention to detail and a well-organised approach to managing matters.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly and approachable personality.
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute as part of a team.
- Experience with LEAP Legal Software is preferred but not essential.
