The Roles
Senior Bookkeeper
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients while taking a more senior role within the practice. You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients
- Providing hands-on bookkeeping and cloud accounting services
- Reviewing work and maintaining quality
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Managing client relationships and being a key point of contact
- Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and grow relationships
- Working closely with accountants and the wider HSQC team
Intermediate Bookkeeper
As an Intermediate Bookkeeper,
you’ll work across a diverse range of clients while continuing to develop your technical and client-facing skills. You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing and maintaining bookkeeping records
- Bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable and general bookkeeping
- Assisting with BAS and other compliance-related work
- Using Xero and other cloud accounting platforms
- Communicating with clients and assisting with day-to-day queries
- Working closely with senior bookkeepers and accountants
- Building your knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility over time
About You
We’re looking for people who have:
- Relevant bookkeeping experience
- Strong Xero and cloud accounting knowledge
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong communication and client service skills
- A proactive, organised approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team
For the Senior Bookkeeper position, you’ll ideally also have experience managing a client portfolio, reviewing work and mentoring others.
For the Intermediate Bookkeeper position, we’re looking for someone with a solid bookkeeping foundation who is keen to keep learning and progress their career.
