My Place is a registered Out of Home Care and NDIS provider. My Place does not provide any group home, day centre or other congregate care services.

About the role

We are supporting a vibrant 17-year-old young lady who is currently living in Dawesville and will soon be moving into her own home in Lakelands in a few week's time. We are looking for a warm, fun and dedicated female Support Worker (PA) to join her incredible support team.

The role involves providing assistance with personal care, PEG feeding and medication administration, seizure management, two-person hoist transfers and repositioning. She communicates using an eye-gaze device, so someone who is patient, curious and willing to learn her unique communication style will thrive in this role.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience supporting young people in a highly trauma-informed way,



as well as experience in high-intensity support areas.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, confident working autonomously and demonstrates solid communication and leadership skills. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Support periods are:

· Wednesdays 4:30pm – 10:00pm

· Thursdays 10:00pm – 8:00am (active awake)

· Fortnightly Saturdays 7:30am-6:00pm

· Fortnightly Sundays 7:30am-6:00pm

· Sundays 10:00pm – 8:00am (active awake)

Applicants must have or be able to obtain before commencing the following:

· Driver's license

· NDIS Worker Screening Check

· NDIS Worker Orientation modules

· Working with Children Check (WWC Check)

Preferred Experience:

· Seizure Management

· Enteral Feeding

· Medication Administration

· Manual Handling

· Personal Care

· Dysphagia and Mealtime management.
