Talent Focus Education is partnering with an established 110-place early learning service in Cairns to recruit an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead the service into an exciting new chapter.

With major renovations planned, this is a fantastic opportunity for a solid leader to come in with fresh ideas, a transparent vision and the drive to shape the culture, environment and future direction of the service.
The Opportunity

The service provides care and education for children from six weeks through to school age, including an approved Kindergarten program.

Currently rated Meeting National Quality Standard, the foundations are in place, and the focus moving forward is on continued quality improvement and working towards even stronger outcomes across the service.

Importantly, you won't be doing it alone. You will have the support of an Assistant Director, Educational Leader and an established team of educators, giving you a strong leadership structure around you as you drive the service forward.

The centre offers spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments, including large natural play areas, and has a strong focus on play-based learning, children's curiosity and creating a nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is confident leading a large service and genuinely enjoys developing people, building culture and creating strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
You will ideally bring:





- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a Centre Director, Service Manager, Assistant Director or senior early childhood leader
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF and relevant Regulations
- Confidence leading, mentoring and developing a team
- A genuine passion for quality improvement and lifting service standards
- Strong operational, occupancy and people-management capability
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Current or ability to obtain all required checks and clearances
