We need a full-time Structural Engineer to provide support for new and existing products in our innovative and fast-growing Composite Fibre Technology (CFT) business.

Your focus will be on practical and effective engineering solutions in pultrusion. This role includes structural analysis, design, testing, and evaluation of products, materials, and applications in accordance with the relevant engineering codes, standards and guidelines.

Your Main Responsibilities

- Conceptual - research new ideas, nominate concepts, material and methods for new products, test theories and develop ideas to make them practical and tangible to provide a competitive advantage

- Design - conduct structural analysis of new products and applications, including manual calculations or FEA modelling, investigate cost effectiveness and manufacturability, ensuring compliance with engineering codes and standards

- Testing - create testing logic and methodology, develop and test protypes and provide accurate and comprehensive reporting on results

- Product QA/QC - develop and update product specifications and inspection test procedures, and liaise with the QC team to ensure products are within specifications

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor of Engineering (Structural or Civil preferred)




- Demonstrated prior experience in structural and FRP composite engineering
- Proficiency in using SpaceGass, Strand 7 or similar engineering tools
- High level problem-solving abilities and data analysis skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, subcontracted engineers) and our engineering team and wider CFT business
- Practical experience working in cross-functional teams and on projects
- A background in structural, civil or manufacturing engineering would be advantageous
