Job Description:

Role/s: 6 x APS6 Mobile Automation + AI Tester

The APS6 Mobile Automation + AI Tester (Labour Hire) will support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions through the design, development and execution of automated testing across mobile applications and AI-enabled capabilities.

The role will work within multidisciplinary delivery teams to develop and maintain automated test suites, validate functional and non-functional requirements, identify defects and provide assurance that solutions meet business, technical and user requirements.

The successful candidate will bring strong mobile and automation testing capability, with an ability to apply contemporary testing approaches to emerging AI-enabled solutions.

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile applications across relevant platforms and devices.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and exploratory testing of mobile and digital solutions.
- Develop and maintain reusable automated test suites that support efficient and repeatable testing throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Test and validate AI-enabled features and solutions, including the accuracy, consistency, reliability and expected behaviour of AI-generated outputs.
- Develop appropriate test scenarios and test data to assess AI-enabled functionality across expected, unexpected and edge-case conditions.
- Analyse business and technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test scenarios and ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Identify, document, investigate and track defects,



working collaboratively with developers, business analysts and other delivery team members to support timely resolution.
- Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery processes where appropriate.
- Analyse test results, identify trends and risks, and provide explicit reporting on testing outcomes, defects and solution quality.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing standards, tools and quality assurance practices.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams and contribute to planning, refinement, demonstrations and other delivery activities.
- Apply relevant security, privacy, accessibility and quality requirements when testing mobile and AI-enabled solutions.

Essential criteria

1. Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in mobile application testing, including the development and execution of automated tests across mobile platforms. Skilled in testing REST API using Postman, testing Salesforce and MuleSoft based solutions,



and writing automation scripts for REST API tests.

2. Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable automated test suites using contemporary automation tools and technologies. Expert “hands-on” technical proficiency with UI functional automation using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver and BDD frameworks like Cucumber and experience using continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, and building automation test pipelines.

3. Strong experience across functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing, including defect identification, investigation and management.

4. Demonstrated ability to interpret business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios, test cases and automation coverage.

5. Experience testing AI-enabled applications, features or services, including approaches for validating the quality, reliability and consistency of AI-generated outputs.

6. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.

Desirable criteria

1. Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.2. Experience with mobile automation technologies such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or comparable frameworks.3. Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.4. Experience testing digital solutions within an Australian Government or similarly complex environment.
