Brain & Body Fitness is our innovative exercise service supporting active ageing through neuroplasticity, flexibility, strength, balance and social wellbeing. Using research-based, individualised exercise programs, our qualified team supports people living with a range of chronic and neurological conditions in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to join our Brain & Body Fitness team and help every client feel supported, connected and confident throughout their journey. By combining attentive client service, practical session support and organised administration, you will help our team deliver secure, high-quality services that improve health, independence and quality of life.

About the role

Reporting to the Brain & Body Fitness Team Lead, you will support clients from onboarding through to their ongoing participation in services. You will coordinate routine bookings and enquiries, maintain accurate records, assist clients to use digital platforms and help ensure the studio is safe, welcoming and well presented.

You will also work alongside Exercise Physiologists during supervised group sessions, contribute to community and promotional activities, and build positive relationships with clients, families, support coordinators, allied health professionals, volunteers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

- Support client onboarding, including intake paperwork, consent forms, funding information and accurate profile setup.
- Coordinate appointments, classes and reviews, and respond to routine client enquiries by phone, email and in person.
- Maintain accurate client records, attendance, compliance documentation, payment information and service outcome data.




- Assist Exercise Physiologists during supervised group sessions by preparing equipment, encouraging participation and monitoring general safety.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, safe and welcoming studio, including equipment setup, pack-up and incident reporting.
- Support client communications, community events, referral pathways and promotional activities across digital and social platforms.

About you

You are a warm, reliable and organised team member who enjoys helping people feel welcome and supported. You communicate clearly, build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and are passionate about health, exercise and wellbeing. You understand the importance of confidentiality, safety and working within scope under the direction of qualified allied health professionals.

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or Certificate IV in Fitness, or an equivalent qualification, with current or eligible AusActive registration where relevant.
- Experience in a health, disability, fitness, community or aged care setting, together with demonstrated customer service capability.
- Strong administration, organisation and prioritisation skills, with confidence using computer systems and digital applications.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and stakeholders.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach, with the ability to work autonomously, accept constructive feedback and continue learning.
- Current First Aid and CPR, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to obtain and maintain required criminal history, Working with Children and NDIS worker screening clearances and be willing to undertake a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) prior to employment.
