The Role

The role will be responsible for managing Microsoft licensing across Brennan customers, including Microsoft 365, Windows, SQL Server, Azure, and other Microsoft products and services. The SAM Specialist will work closely with AM/BDM, SW Specialist and Brennan's customers to provide an accurate view of software entitlements, deployments, consumption and associated costs.
The role can be based in any of Brennan's Australian offices - Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart or Newcastle

Responsibilities

Microsoft Licensing & Asset Management

- Analyse customer Microsoft licensing positions and identify potential compliance gaps, unused licences,



and optimisation opportunities.
- Support management of Microsoft Enterprise Agreements, Cloud Solution Provider arrangements and other Microsoft licensing contracts.
- Review customer Microsoft 365 licence assignments, utilisation and subscription consumption.
- Design SAM processes and operating models that support the value-creation offering.

Software Compliance & Governance

- Establish and maintain Microsoft software asset management policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
- Conduct regular customer licensing reviews and reconciliation activities.
- Identify and mitigate software licensing risks and provide recommendations to Brennan customers

Cost Optimisation

- Identify opportunities to reduce software expenditure through licence reclamation, optimisation, consolidation, and effective renewal management.
- Analyse licence utilisation and make recommendations regarding licence types and quantities.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting for Microsoft software and cloud expenditure.
- Review upcoming renewals and provide data-driven recommendations to customers
- Track and report Microsoft software spend, consumption, and savings opportunities.

Reporting & Data Management

- Develop dashboards and reports covering Microsoft licence entitlement, deployment, utilisation, compliance, and expenditure.
- Reconcile data across software asset management, CMDB, Microsoft portals, procurement, and financial systems.

Experience required

- Extensive experience in Microsoft Licensing Asset Management
- Relevant reporting and dashboard development and management
