Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the whole child.

Swan Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our Secondary School teaching team in a full-time, permanent position commencing 1 January 2027.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that drive student growth and provide targeted remediation and extension opportunities.
- Engage students behaviourally, emotionally and cognitively in a positive learning environment.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate academic records, and use data to inform teaching decisions.
- Provide timely feedback and reporting to students, parents and College leadership through reports, SEQTA and parent events.
- Demonstrate genuine care for students’ spiritual, emotional, social and academic wellbeing.
- Contribute to College life through duties, events and meetings while adhering to College policies.

Essential Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, College staff and key stakeholders.
- Communicate confidently and professionally, demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, staying organised and responsive in a quick-paced environment.
- Show initiative,



solve problems proactively and make sound decisions while working collaboratively and following direction.
- Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration, or willingness to apply for one.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

- A demonstrated ability to effectively deliver the WA English Curriculum.
- Effective organizational skills in lesson planning, marking, and reporting.
- Be competent in the use of technology applications in an educational setting.
- ATAR experience is preferred but not essential.
- Graduates are welcome to apply.
