We are seeking an enthusiastic Undergraduate Civil Engineer to join our team based at our Burleigh Waters Project in Queensland.
This opportunity is ideal for a 3rd or 4th year Civil Engineering student looking to gain practical, hands-on experience while completing their degree. Whether you are seeking your first engineering role, vocational placement or looking to gain exposure to live civil construction projects, we would love to hear from you.
No prior industry experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine interest in building a career in civil engineering.
About the Role
You will be part of the project team delivering the Cassowary Drive Bridge Replacement project, which has just kicked off, and will run through to completion in the second half of 2027. The project is a $18 million infrastructure project delivering a new flood-resilient bridge and improved transport connectivity for the growing southern Gold Coast community. Working alongside experienced Project Engineers,
Site Supervisors and Project Managers, you will gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery including:
- Site-based engineering and construction activities
- Quality assurance and project documentation
- Construction methodologies and planning
- Safety and environmental compliance
- Subcontractor coordination
- Site inspections and reporting
- Quantity tracking and progress monitoring
- Survey and set out activities
- Contract administration and project controls
This is a hands-on role that will provide valuable exposure to the civil construction industry while allowing you to continue your university studies.
What You Will Bring
Essential
- Currently studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
- In your 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Ability to travel to our Burleigh Waters project site.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full working rights in Australia with the intention of pursuing a long-term career in Australia.
- A genuine interest in civil construction and infrastructure projects.
Desirable
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Previous construction, labouring or site-based experience.
- Completion of vocational placement or internship programs.
- White Card.
