We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos.

Job description:

- Located at Sydney's Iconic - Taronga Zoo!
- Ongoing full time Cleaner position
- Rotating Roster - Morning and/ or evening shifts: 6:30am - 3:15pm & 8:30am - 5:15pm
- TCSA Wages Employees Award, Cleaner Grade 2, annual package $69,004 (includes base salary $60,881 + plus superannuation & leave loading)

Taronga Zoo Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaner to join our Asset Management team!

As a Cleaner at Taronga Zoo, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional visitor experience by keeping our iconic grounds and facilities immaculate, welcoming, and world-class. Your eye for detail helps bring the magic of the zoo to life every day

About the Role…





The Cleaner role ensures the presentation of Taronga Zoo grounds and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities…

- Perform all cleaning duties in and around zoo grounds
- Maintain the presentation of Taronga Zoo's public areas, internal administrative buildings and car park to the highest possible standards.
- Comply with Taronga's Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained.
- Communicate Taronga's education and conservation messages both internally and externally, ensuring all communications align with Taronga's values to inspire change in accordance with Taronga's vision and strategic pillars.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga's sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
- Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga's Work, Health and Safety Charter.

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

- Current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual (required for Cleaner Grade 3).
- Tuberculosis Screening
- Vaccinations against Zoonotic diseases (in accordance with Taronga's Zoonotic disease vaccination matrix)



at your own expense.
- Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
