The Chance

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Melbourne, commencing in early 2027. This is an opportunity to build your career within an experienced consulting team, gaining practical experience across a diverse range of projects while developing your technical and consulting skills.

You’ll contribute to the design and coordination of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional developments. Working closely with experienced engineers and senior team members, you’ll have opportunities for mentoring, training, and increased responsibility as you develop your skills and capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting with the design, development and review of HVAC and mechanical building services systems.

- Preparing engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation.

- Contributing to drafting and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.

- Coordinating with internal teams and liaising with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors under the guidance of experienced engineers.

- Attending project meetings and assisting with stakeholder communication.

- Supporting project delivery, including reviewing drawings,



assisting with site inspections and construction phase services.

- Assisting with calculations, design development, and technical problem-solving.

- Ensuring designs and documentation meet relevant codes, standards, and best-practice principles.

- Managing assigned tasks across multiple projects while maintaining quality and agreed deadlines.

- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation in accordance with TMK systems and quality requirements.

- Contributing to team collaboration, knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, contribute and build their career within a consulting environment. You’ll bring:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, completed or due for completion in 2026 or early 2027.

- An interest in developing both technical engineering and client-facing consulting skills.

- A positive attitude and team mindset.

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.

- Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC load estimation software or other engineering design tools is desirable but not essential.

- Previous industry work experience or placement is preferred, but graduates without industry experience are also welcome to apply.

- A willingness to learn and receive feedback as you develop your technical and professional skills.

- A current Class C driver's licence

- Based in Melbourne
