About the opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Clinical Nurse – Infection Control to become part of our dedicated team.

The Clinical Nurse – Infection Control plays an important leadership role within our Residential Aged Care team. Working in an expanded Registered Nurse capacity, you will take on responsibilities including Infection Prevention Control Lead (IPC Lead) and Nurse Preceptor, while supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical care in line with Carinity policies and procedures.

You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience by mentoring and supporting staff, helping them feel confident and empowered to provide the best possible Residential Focused Care. You will also champion infection prevention and control initiatives, helping to create a safe, welcoming workplace for our residents, staff and visitors.

Based in Bundaberg, this role offers 71.75 hours per fortnight and is a great opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive aged care team.

Your day-to-day will involve:

- Providing clinical leadership, advice, and guidance on infection prevention and control practices
- Leading infection prevention and control initiatives to support the safety of residents, staff, and visitors
- Monitoring, investigating, and responding to infection risks, incidents, and outbreaks
- Supporting the development, implementation and review of infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Educating, mentoring, and supporting staff to promote best practice in infection prevention and control




- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to identify and minimise infection risks and enhance resident care and safety
- Promoting compliance with infection prevention and control standards, guidelines and organisational requirements

About you:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post graduate qualifications in infection control or willingness to obtain
- Strong clinical background including demonstrated experience in Aged Care
- Demonstrated mentoring skills with the ability to guide a care team in clinical best practice
- Knowledge of Aged Care documentation requirements and ACFI assessments
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Demonstrate flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and night shifts during emergencies
