Experienced pharmacy all-rounder | 10–20 hours per week
TerryWhite Chemmart Kawana Waters in Minyama is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to join our busy team on a permanent part-time or casual basis.
Located next to a medical centre, ours is a busy pharmacy where teamwork and flexibility are essential. This is a varied role for someone who is comfortable working across the pharmacy and enjoys stepping in wherever support is needed.
While dispensary technician experience is highly regarded, this position will primarily support our shop floor, while also assisting in the dispensary when required. It is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacy team member who enjoys variety, customer interaction and being part of a fast-paced workplace.
The role offers approximately 10–20 hours per week. Availability on Thursdays and Fridays is essential, along with the flexibility to pick up additional hours from time to time to cover team leave.
About The Role
Working across the shop floor and dispensary, your responsibilities may include:
• Providing friendly, professional customer service
• Assisting customers with pharmacy products and over-the-counter enquiries within your level of training
• Supporting merchandising, stock presentation and general retail activities
• Assisting pharmacists and the dispensary team with day-to-day workflow
• Preparing prescriptions and medicine orders within your level of training
• Supporting dispensary stock management and administration
• Stepping into different areas of the pharmacy as workload requires
• Helping the wider team maintain an efficient and welcoming pharmacy environment
About You
We are ideally looking for someone with previous community pharmacy experience who can confidently contribute from the outset.
Dispensary Technician experience is particularly desirable, and relevant Community Pharmacy qualifications will be highly regarded. Just as importantly, you will be adaptable, approachable and happy to work across both retail and dispensary functions.
You will bring:
• Previous community pharmacy experience, preferably including dispensary
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
• Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• A versatile, team-focused approach
• Availability to work Thursdays and Fridays
• Flexibility to pick up additional shifts when available
