About the role

This role is for you if you're obsessed with numbers and precision, you love staying organised and prioritising, and you're outstanding at managing up and down.

You will run the day to day finance function of a highly established, privately owned, multi entity Australian brand that designs, manufactures and retails its own product. You report directly to the owners, with a Finance and Data Specialist supporting you. You join a passionate team with diverse talents in a beautiful and creative environment.

You own the compliance calendar across all entities, the payroll cycle, month end close and the management reporting pack, the weekly cashflow forecast, banking and trade finance administration, intercompany, and stocktake governance. You also hold the business's registers and renewals: insurance, leases, loans and guarantees.

Behind the business sits a finance function that follows the whole product journey, from raw materials purchased in USD, through production and inventory, to retail sales, compliance and payroll. It runs on Xero and is progressing from a traditional operating model to a data driven one.

Decisions on funding, structure and pricing sit with the owners.



Your job is to prepare the high quality information those decisions are made from, and to run everything beneath them so well that the owners are informed rather than involved.

What you bring

- CA or CPA, with five or more years post qualification including at least two running a multi entity SME finance function end to end

- Deep, current Xero experience across multiple entities

- Australian compliance end to end: BAS, PAYG, super, payroll tax across states

- Payroll ownership, including commissions and award compliance

- Product business experience with inventory, costing and stocktake

- Organised and self directed: you plan your own function, prioritise across competing deadlines, and run the finance calendar as a project with visible status

- Experience managing and developing a direct report: setting clear expectations, reviewing work, and building someone's capability
