Hays are partnering exclusively with RAR Group to recruit a Financial Controller who will work closely with the Directors to drive performance, support decision-making and provide financial leadership across a multi-entity operation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role with genuine influence across both the financial and operational performance of the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead the finance function and provide the commercial insight required to support key business decisions, improve performance and drive long-term growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the financial management, reporting and governance activities across the Group

- Preparing monthly management reports, budgets and forecasts

- Managing cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance

- Delivering commercial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making

- Developing financial models for equipment investment, financing and business initiatives

- Strengthening financial controls,



reporting frameworks and business processes

- Partnering with operational stakeholders to improve profitability and performance outcomes

- Managing relationships with banks, financiers, insurers, auditors and external advisers

- Overseeing taxation, statutory compliance and year-end reporting requirements

- Supporting strategic planning, capital investment decisions and future growth initiatives

About You

You will be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with business leaders and contributing beyond the numbers.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Robust financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience

- Advanced analytical and financial modelling capability

- Experience managing cash flow, working capital and financial performance

- Well-developed commercial acumen and business partnering skills

- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making

- A proactive, hands-on approach suited to a dynamic and fast-paced environment

- Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, transport, logistics, plant hire or other asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded.
