Job description:

The role

We are seeking an Information Support Specialist to join our team in a permanent full-time opportunity, providing proactive, customer-focused support and specialist advice across Property and Information Management services.

With a solid problem-solving focus, you will investigate and resolve a diverse range of property, customer information and information management matters, providing practical advice, guidance and solutions that support effective service delivery across the organisation.

This is a great opportunity to use your expertise to navigate complex information, identify solutions and contribute to responsive, high-quality outcomes for both internal and external customers.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Manage Council information throughout its lifecycle, ensuring records are accurate, accessible, securely maintained and appropriately disposed of.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on Information Management practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support property information services, including property numbering for new developments and subdivisions, property enquiries and inspections.
- Administer and maintain name, address and ratepayer information within Council's Land Information system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide responsive support and advice to internal and external customers, with a focus on continuous improvement and enhancing the customer experience.
- Maintain the security,



confidentiality and appropriate access controls of Council information and records.
- Develop and deliver guidance, training, policies and procedures that promote best practice across Information Management and name and address data.

You will have

- Relevant qualifications in Records/Information Management or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Knowledge of the State Records Act 1998 and relevant records management standards.
- Experience in property numbering and property information.
- Experience using Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS).
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and customer service skills.
- Experience administering central registers.

Desirable Experience

The following experience and skills were considered desirable, but were not essential requirements:

- Previous experience working with QGIS/Mapinfo.
- Experience with SharePoint Online.
- Knowledge of the NSW Addressing policy and user manual

The salary for this position starts from $97,327 (Grade G, Step 1) + 12% super.
