Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Sydney (Marrickville, Revesby and Villawoood)
Salary: $85,000-$95,000 per year

We're looking for a detail-driven Quality Assurance Officer to help make sure every product that leaves our site meets the highest standards.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you'll play a key role in making sure our quality procedures are followed correctly and our products are made to food safety standards. You'll work closely with Production, Logistics and Maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our Quality team, you will:

- Carry out daily checks of recipes against CCPs and QCPs, and report and follow up any non-conformances.

- Review production forms and records daily to make sure documentation is accurate and complete.

- Lodge and follow up internal non-compliances (INCs), and share internal and external audit results with the relevant teams.

- Calibrate CCP monitoring equipment daily (thermometers, pH meters) and help with quarterly equipment calibration.

- Assist with micro sampling, micro swabbing and ATP swabbing, and maintain food stability testing and reporting.

- Carry out allergen testing and help maintain allergen controls across the site.

- Carry out shelf-life extensions where appropriate, and manage retention samples.

- Help with and conduct internal and quarterly audits.

- Support the Quality Manager with supplier complaints, quality questionnaires, raw material specifications and ingredient approvals.

- Work with R&D; and Quality to resolve production and raw material supply issues.





- Help train production staff and support pest management activities.

- Stop production when food safety is in doubt, and escalate issues to the Quality Manager or Production Manager.

- Look for ways to improve our systems, processes and efficiencies.

About You
You'll be a hands-on quality qualified who takes pride in getting the details right and enjoys working with production teams to uphold high standards.

You'll bring:

- A tertiary qualification in Science or a related discipline.

- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, ideally within food manufacturing.

- Experience with HACCP, GMP and QMS (a HACCP qualification is desirable).

- Internal auditing experience.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to raise and challenge issues professionally.

- The ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.

- Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.

- A commitment to high professional and ethical standards, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
