XL Precast is a busy and expanding precast concrete manufacturer based in Smithfield, NSW. We specialise in high-quality precast elements for commercial, industrial and civil projects across New South Wales. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our production team on a casual basis.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Crane Operator to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves operating cranes safely and efficiently within a busy precast/manufacturing workplace while working closely with production and yard teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys early starts and is looking for consistent work.
Shift Details
· Casual position
· Competitive hourly rate of $40 - $45 per hour
· Monday to Saturday work schedule
· Early morning start time of 3:30 AM
· Typical shifts of 10-12 hours per day
· Supportive team environment
· Ongoing work for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
· Operate overhead, gantry, or mobile cranes safely and efficiently
· Lift, move, and position precast concrete products and materials
· Conduct pre-start equipment inspections
· Follow site safety procedures and lifting plans
· Work closely with production personnel and supervisors
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Complete required operational documentation
· Undertake other reasonable duties as directed from time to time
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Current High Risk Work License (Crane)
· Previous crane operating experience
· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable transport and punctuality
· Ability to work early starts and extended shifts when required
· Ability to work effectively within a team environment
· Commitment to workplace safety
Previous precast concrete experience will be highly regarded.
