About the job:
Located at our Carosue Dam workshop, the primary aim of the position is to safely and efficiently maintain a fleet of various types of Road Train trailers to maintain high levels of fleet availability.
The day-to-day duties include lubrication and maintenance tasks including:
- Brake relines and booster replacements repairs and maintenance
- Fitting, plumbing and testing of airbrake systems
- Fitting and testing of suspension systems
- Reconditioning and maintaining turntables
- Reconditioning and maintaining ring feeders
About you:
- You will have proven work history on a mine site or heavy machinery workshop.
- You may not have formal qualifications, but you are very handy and mechanically minded.
- You will have a demonstrated history of working with a constant eye to maintaining a secure work environment.
- You clearly take pride in your work and enjoy working as part of a larger workshop team.
- You will hold your C class drivers’ license (or above).
- You will have strong communication skills.
- You must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
- You hold a current National Police Clearance or can obtain one.
- You will already hold the right to work in Australia
About the opportunity:
- 2:1 Roster, days only - 12hr days
- FIFO ex Perth/Busselton or DIDO Kalgoorlie
- Permanent, full-time employment with leave entitlements
- Hourly rate of $38.00 (gross) plus 12% superannuation and five (5) weeks annual leave a year
