Inscope Training is seeking a motivated and reliable qualified carpenter to join our team as a Carpentry Trainer and Assessor in the Southern Sydney region.

This role is ideal for an experienced carpenter who is looking to transition from on-the-tools work into a stable and rewarding training position, while continuing to use their industry skills and experience.

The successful applicant will deliver carpentry training both in-house and on-site.

No prior training or teaching experience is required. We are specifically seeking skilled tradespeople with industry experience who we can support and develop into high-quality, industry-relevant trainers.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

- Deliver in-house carpentry training and practical sessions
- Conduct on-site training, support and assessment of apprentices
- Support students completing online theory components of their training
- Assess practical skills and workplace competency




- Maintain accurate training and assessment records
- Provide guidance, support and mentorship to apprentices and students
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training and assessment practices
- Work closely with the Inscope Training team to ensure students receive a high-quality training experience

Applicants Must Also

- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the carpentry trade and current industry practices
- CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential. For the right candidate, we are willing to support and fund the completion of this qualification if not currently held.
- White Card (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry) preferred but not essential — willingness to obtain required
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
