Logistics Coordinator | Construction & Property Development

Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator who enjoys keeping things moving, solving problems and managing the finer details of international shipping?

We’re partnering with a growing construction and property development business seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of construction materials from overseas suppliers through to project sites across Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day logistics, work closely with procurement and project teams, and help establish processes within a growing business.

You’ll coordinate international and domestic freight, ensuring construction materials arrive on time, within budget and in line with project schedules.
Working with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers and internal construction teams, you’ll play an key role in keeping projects on track.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of logistics systems, reporting tools and procedures as the business continues to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coordinate international shipping, customs clearance and domestic freight for construction materials, including glazing, joinery, stone and tiles.
- Manage freight bookings, shipping schedules and deliveries to ensure materials arrive in line with construction programs.
- Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouse operators and transport providers.
- Track shipments,



monitor delivery milestones and proactively resolve delays or supply chain disruptions.
- Coordinate the movement of materials between factories, warehouses and construction sites.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, customs records, tracking registers and logistics reports.
- Monitor freight and logistics budgets, reconcile invoices and identify potential cost risks.
- Support the coordination of oversized and specialised cargo where required.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, project and site teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Assist in developing and improving logistics processes, reporting tools and standard operating procedures.

You'll ideally bring:

- Experience coordinating international and domestic freight, shipping or supply chain operations.
- A sound understanding of import documentation, customs clearance and freight forwarding processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience working with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers and internal stakeholders.
- Confidence monitoring freight costs, maintaining accurate records and preparing logistics reports.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying delays, resolving issues and improving processes.
