About the role

The Draftsperson / Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of joinery drawings, cabinet designs, cutting lists and production information using Mozaik and/or CAD. The role ensures that project information is clear, accurate and ready for production, while also providing project coordination support to help jobs progress efficiently from drafting through production, installation and handover. The role works closely with the Director, office, sales, factory and installation teams.

Key responsibilities

- Create cabinet designs, cutting lists and detailed production drawings using Mozaik and/or CAD

- Prepare accurate drawings and production information suitable for manufacture and installation

- Ensure measurements, layouts, dimensions, hardware selections, materials and specifications are accurately reflected in drawings

- Review project information and identify drawing, design, specification or measurement issues before production commences

- Maintain consistent drawing standards, naming conventions and digital job files

- Update drawings and production documentation when variations, revisions or changes arise

- Issue revised drawings and ensure current information is clearly identified and communicated to relevant team members

- Work collaboratively with the factory and installation teams to resolve drawing,



design or production issues

- Provide project coordination support to help jobs progress efficiently from drafting through production, installation and handover

- Monitor the progress of assigned jobs and identify potential delays, missing information or issues that may affect production or installation

- Provide hands on assistance on the factory floor when required.

About you

- Experience as a Draftsperson, CAD operator, Mozaik operator or similar role within the joinery/cabinetry industry

- Practical understanding of custom joinery manufacturing and installation processes

- Ability to read and interpret architectural, joinery and technical drawings

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Robust organisational and time-management skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects, drawings and competing priorities

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Desirable: Strong experience using Mozaik software, CAD experience, experience with CNC manufacturing processes, Certificate 3 in Cabinet Making, own vehicle (ute or van), experience with project management or production management software, current Driver Licence, Forklift Licence, First Aid Certificate
